Title Behavior of Semiconducting Materials
Description In this activity, students explore the behavior of semiconducting materials, the HOMO and LUMO orbital occupancy and their relationship to the conducting band. In their exploration, they observe a DC circuit and observe the direction of the current as a function of voltages from -4 V to +4 V, and infer on the changes in the direction and magnitude of the electron flow, with several dopant configurations.
