Forces and Motion activity 1: Predicting speed and directions changes (Inquiry Based) A gold star indicates high-quality, inquiry-based activities that follow the PhET design guidelines.

Title Forces and Motion activity 1: Predicting speed and directions changes (Inquiry Based)
Description This lab assumes that the students have done my Moving Man activity. The students will use the simulation to learn the goals through an inquiry approach. There is a Check Your Understanding page to do before the activity and there are clicker questions provided for after the activity. There is also a practice for Objective Test Taking Learning Goals: Students will be able to predict, qualitatively, how an external force will affect the speed and direction of an object's motion and explain why with the help of a free body diagram.
